UTAH MAN SINGS PATRIOTIC SONG 911 TIMES TO HONOR 9/11...
By Monday afternoon, Alan Foote had performed “God Bless the U.S.A.” more than 600 times in less than 36 hours.
His goal was to finish performing the popular Lee Greenwood song 911 times by 6:46 a.m. Tuesday, the time when the first hijacked airliner struck the World Trade Center 11 years ago in New York City. Foote said the decision to play the song 911 times within a 48-hour span at Staheli Family Farm in Washington Fields was a tribute to the date of the terrorist attacks: 9/11.
“We were all affected by that tragedy some way or another,” he said during a short break from performing Monday afternoon.
