Sometimes the fights on the undercard are more fun to watch than the main event. Brawler Joe Biden and boxer Paul D. Ryan proved that Thursday night with the “Thrill in the Ville,”  the vice presidential debate in Danville, Ky.

Ryan persistently argued that the Democrats had their chance and had failed, particularly lacking a plan to restore the economy. He recited a litany of statistics to buttress his suggestion that America is still not headed in the right direction.

Was Biden too emotive? Did Ryan, at just 42, seem ready to be a heartbeat away from the presidency?
