The massive manhunt for former Los Angeles Police Department officer Christopher Dorner has led authorities to the Big Bear area, where police have located Dorner's charred truck, or what's left of it.

Found in the woods south of Big Bear Lake, the burned-out pickup truck that detectives have been hunting for since early this morning has been confirmed as Dorner's, reports L.A. Daily News. The truck was reportedly set on fire, and police believe Dorner is in the mountains near the fire scene. LAPD SWAT officers have been deployed to the area.

All schools and facilities in the Bear Valley Unified School District have been placed on lockdown as a precaution, according to City New Service, and Bear Mountain ski resort has been shut down during the manhunt, reports KCAL9.

The vehicle fire was first reported at 8:30 a.m., says NBC LA.
