Dylan Siegel, author of Chocolate Bar, penned the book to help raise money for his friend with a rare liver condition. The title, according to the book's Facebook page, means "awesome" to Siegel, which is apparently how he views his friend Jonah Pournazarian, who is battling glycogen storage disease 1b. Siegel coined the phrase "so chocolate bar," which is apparently catching on among supporters.

For every $20 donated to Pournazarian's fund, one book will be gifted to the donator. Those interested in donating can do so online and should request a book or books in the comments section of the donation form. The fundraising effort hopes to raise $1 million to aid in finding a cure for the disease.
