We’re officially dubbing 2012 the year of “The Miley.” After the pop star created a frenzy with her super-short blonde ‘do, several stars ran to their stylists for a similar look. And for a minute, it appeared that Paris Jackson was one of them.

On Friday, 14-year-old Jackson took to Instagram to flaunt her new look. “Okay and what about this one…? since everyone seems to hate the first one,” she wrote along with a pic of her lighter, shorter style.

It’s a major makeover for the teen, so when we saw the picture we were worried she’d regret dramatically chopping off her long locks. But it turns out, her new ‘do is actually a wig! The producer of Jackson’s upcoming film, Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys, confirmed to the Huffington Post that the actress was just playing dress-up on set.

Though temporary, we think the edgy crop suits Jackson and makes her huge blue eyes look even more ginormous.
