Its always an adventure to find new music and I was able to find three songs that really caught my ear.

First up is Ms Mr with their song "Fantasy". They are a duo from New York City and are currently on tour in Los Angeles. They reminded me of Florence and the Machine but just a bit more dancey. Get more info click here.

Crystal Castle's and their track "Not In Love" featuring Robert Smith of The Cure. I haven't been a huge fan of Crystal Castle's but I do love The Cure and I can't stop listening to this song. Get more on Crystal Castle's here.

Suburban Legends "Don Juan" is one of my favorite ska songs. Every Friday I would catch these guys playing Downtown Disney and dancing up a storm! Now you can see them play Tomorrowland, for more info click here.

Over the weekend I was able to catch this great documentary "Sound City". This is a about a fabled recording studio that was located in Van Nuys. Directed by Dave Grohl this movie follows the how music is recorded and how the music iindustry is affected by the digital age. The soundtrack to this film is very amazing featuring Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, Rick Springfield and many others. Here are some saweet tracks from the movie!

Today I got turned on to this great band called Darkstar. Straight from the UK this band is an electronic music trio. Check out their track below and listen to their album.

Darkstar began life as a production duo, James Young and Aiden Whalley, releasing 12" inches on their own label 2010 Records. The pair then released singles such as "Need U" and "Aidy's Girl is a Computer" on the groundbreaking Hyperdub imprint.

Ska music was a huge part of my youth. One of my first shows was Let's Go Bowling at The Glass House in Pasadena.

So today I wanted to highlight two of my favorite ska bands. First up is The Specials and their classic "Ghost Town". I feel this song still stands the test of time. Another band I wanted to talk about is Viernes 13. Striaght out of Los Angeles California this band has a great mix of rockabilly, ska and surf. With furious horns and visious guiart licks this band blows doors down!

With Daft Punk new release of Random Access Memories, I have been searching the interwebs old Daft Punk music videos. Here are some that have caught my eye and have given an extra element to their music. Here are two songs off of Random Access Memories that feature Soul Train dancers busting a groove to Daft Punks "Loose Yourself to Dance" and "Get Lucky". I have also included some old Daft Punk videos that make you want to shake it!

With Coachella now being a two week event this gives bands a some down time before they rock out in the desert. I have seen a ton of instagrams of Coachella bands playing smaller venues in and around Los Angeles.

The XX are one of those band playing around Los Angeles. They will be headlining the Fox Theatre in Pomona. I have fallen in love with both of their albums, the beats just relax my soul and the vocals haunt my heart! Check them out at the Fox Theatre in Pomona!

Paramore will be playing tonight at 98.7 Penthouse in Hollywood. I was lucky enough to get in to tonights show, I will have a full report on their preformance and details on thier new self titled album "Paramore"
